Amir Chakhmagh Complex

The architectural masterpiece of Yazd, the Amir Chakhmaq complex (15th century), is located in the heart of the city, on a square of the same name. The imposing three-storey frontal, evokes a number of beautifully symmetrical iwans illuminated after sunset. It is one of the biggest places where commemorative ceremonies for the murder of Imam Hossein (3em Imam Shiites) are celebrated and dates back to the 15th century, although it has undergone numerous renovations.
