Golestan Palace

In a square near the old royal district and the Grand Bazaar, there is a complex that includes several palaces. Golestan Palace or kakh-e Golestan being one of the oldest historical monuments of the city of Tehran is built first under the Safavid dynasty but during the Qajar period the palace was rebuilt to its present form. This monument brings a unique testimony to the artistic and architectural achievements of the Qajar period. Golestan Palace has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2013.
